95/100 – James Suckling
94+/100 – Mike Bennie, The Wine Front (2013 vintage)

Tasting Note: Lusciously ripe raspberries, cherries, Doris plum and black current are enhanced by black pepper. The richly textured wine shows off with a complex structure, but delicate with a savoury acidity. A feminine style of Burgundy’s greatest varietal: refined elegance, defined and extended with an ample finish, highlighting this wines aging potential. A great addition to a Burgundy lover’s cellar. Tasted June 2022.

Winemaking Notes: The grapes were given four days to cold-soak before a natural wild yeast initiation of the ferment. The wine spent 24 days on skins before being pressed and transferred into 20% new French Allier barriques for malolactic fermentation and further aging for 20 months. Unfined & unfiltered to retain the great flavours. Natural sediments may show.

Certification: Organic

Alcohol: 14.0%

Varietal: Pinot Noir
