The Limestone Terrace Vineyard is located in the Ward sub-region of the southern coast of Marlborough. The close proximity to the ocean means this spectacularly rugged site is exposed to the cool southerly winds that naturally inhibit yields. The soils are a mix of silt loam, overlaying greywacke gravels and sedimentary limestone. The Pinot Noir grown here is rich, with dark fruit flavours and fine structure. The fruit is hand-picked from the vineyard and fermented with a proportion of whole-bunch, before aging in new and aged French Oak.
