Fruit and wood, sun and shade, red and brown, lifted and grounded are a few concepts that spring to my mind when drinking this wine. Let's have a closer look: blueberries, raspberries with oak and seed-derived tannins have the leading hand. Herbs like thyme and spices like green cardamom pods give a lifted character before hessian, straw and liquorice ground the wine again. Soft, silken tannins and timid acidity make this a buoyant and glossy wine. The palate is refined and seamless with typical and familiar varietal fruit characters, though they are more difficult to distinguish in the blend. Structurally the wine behaves sophisticated and gracious, with only a minor stern feel.
